Gregory Alan Eyster
Greg
Eyster’s practice focuses on providing trial and appellate services to individuals and small businesses facing civil disputes, administrative proceedings, and criminal charges before state and federal courts.
Biography:
Greg grew up in Round Rock, Texas and graduated from
McNeil High School.
After graduating from the
University of Texas at Austin with a double major in Government and History, he worked as a Series 7 licensed broker for James Baker & Associates for three years.
He then moved to San Antonio, Texas to attend
St. Mary’s University School of Law.
Legal Experience:
While at
St. Mary’s University School of Law, Greg was named to the Dean’s List four out of six semesters.
He served as a Staff Writer on the
St. Mary’s Law Journal during his second year of law school.
During his third year of law school, he served on the Editorial Board of the
St. Mary’s Law Journal as a Comment Editor.
Greg also served as an intern for the
Bexar County Criminal District Attorney’s Office, where he assisted the trial team with numerous cases.
He graduated magna cum laude in 2006 and was inducted into the John M.
Harlan Honor Society.
After law school, Greg was honored to serve as a Briefing Attorney for the Honorable Cathy
Cochran on the
Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.
This one-year clerkship exposed Greg to many interesting and novel legal issues at the highest court of criminal matters in Texas.
Greg then used this experience as a prosecutor for the
Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office for three and a half years.
During his time as an Assistant District Attorney, Greg demonstrated his ability to handle a large volume of complex cases.
While working in the trial division, he handled thousands of criminal cases from plea bargain to the trial stage.
Greg then transferred to the appellate division of the District Attorney’s office where he refined his appellate skills by authoring over sixty briefs on behalf of the State of Texas. He also represented the State of Texas during oral argument at the
Second Court of Appeals of Texas multiple times.
Greg also worked for a short time for a boutique civil firm in San Antonio, Texas specializing in medical malpractice defense.
This involved representing insurance companies and nursing homes in defense of medical malpractice claims.
In late 2010, Greg returned to North Texas to join the Zendeh Del Law Firm,
PLLC as an Associate Attorney.
