TCU Settles Sexual Assault Case
A former TCU student settled a lawsuit against TCU over allegations that she was sexually assaulted by three Horned Frog athletes. The woman claims that in October 2006, she was drugged and raped in a campus dormitory by two TCU basketball players and a member of the football team.
The athletes were charged by the Tarrant County District Attorney's office, but charges were ultimately dropped by the district attorney's office. The lawsuit alleges that TCU engaged in
fraud by telling the woman when she was considering attending school at TCU that it did not recruit miscreant athletes. The players, however, had criminal were admitted into the university with criminal histories. TCU alleges that the charges were blown out of proportion.
