NY Jets Draft Lineman Despite Criminal History
Kenrick Ellis was drafted as the 94th pick (third-round). The 6-foot-4-inch, 350 pound man was arrested a year ago and is facing a felony charge after a "campus altercation." He can face up to 20 years in prison. On top of this, he was kicked off the South Carolina Gamecocks football team for failing drug tests. The incident, some form of assault, left the victim with a broken jaw and nose.
Most people, however, do not get drafted into the NFL when they are facing a
violent crimes charge. In fact, most would be lucky to be drafted into the military than face an assault charge. In order to protect yourself from these kinds of charges, you must
contact a
Plano criminal defense attorney today. We aggressively defend those accused of these charges.
Often times, as in the Ellis case, there are two sides to every story. You must have the proper attorney present that side of the story to the prosecutor, judge, and the jury.
