Dallas police officer is on administrative leave for allegedly soliciting a prostitute.
A Dallas police officer is under investigation over allegations that he may have solicited a prostitute while off duty late Tuesday, police said.
Senior Cpl. Mark Sittner, a 30-year veteran, has been placed on administrative leave. The incident occurred around midnight Tuesday in southeast Dallas.
According to police, a prostitute walked up to Sittner's vehicle and then quickly walked away as a police squad car pulled up. The officer issued the woman a prostitution-related citation.
The woman said she had met Sittner before, police said.
Sittner was already on restricted duty after failing to tell supervisors he had been arrested on a DWI charge in Missouri, police said. The DWI case is pending, police said.
Of course, the department's internal affairs unit is reviewing the case
